A continuing education program

Description

A new and exciting initiative to expand knowledge base and enhance professional growth. This certificate program developed by practitioners at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing will provide nursing supervisors with broad preparation and extensive flexibility in their career opportunities. Participants will receive a continuing education certificate in leadership for nurse managers upon completion of the program.

How to Use This Tool

It has been well-documented that effective managers with good supervision skills have a positive impact on employee retention.  This is especially true in a high-stress setting like long-term care.  This program can be implemented in an effort to enhance the skills of supervisors in home and residential care.
