Myra Sabir received her PhD in Human Development from Cornell in 2004. Her core research involves integrative reminiscence interventions with various populations of older adults. Current research projects include the “Harlem Life Review and Health in Later Life Study” and a study of “Life Review and Social Integration among Homebound Elders.” A second core interest is research-practice partnerships. As a former community agency director who understands the nuanced nature of social interventions, she has taken a primary role in organizing and facilitating CITRA’s consensus workshops, which bring researchers and practitioners together for equal-status dialogue around mutually selected issues in aging. She also serves as Assistant Director of the Bronfenbrenner Life Course Center.
